Spotted this pricing oddity on Crayola Crayons at Target tonight. All of these were on the same rack.
Notice anything… odd going on here? Perhaps it would be a little easier to see if I put it in chart form…
If you buy 24 crayons, you pay just a penny per crayon. But if you only want eight crayons, you get to pay nearly ten times as much per crayon.
You could buy three boxes of 24 crayons and still spend less than what they will charge you for a single box of eight. What the heck.
